You innovate, you win : Corona Chronicle #079

He was thinking how he can teach his students during the coronavirus lockdown.

The schools had been shut too.

He was the headmaster of a school in Jharkhand’s Dumka district.

His school had 246 students from class 1st to 8th out of which 204 did not have smartphones so online classes were out of question.

He wanted to conduct the lectures but it seemed to be a mammoth task.

A teacher can change the world and so his little idea changed his student’s world.

He put up many loudspeakers on walls and on trees where students could gather and sit with maintaining the social distancing norms too while studying.

Classes are held for 2 hours everyday since 16th April.

The classes start sharp at 10 AM and children are eagerly sitting with the books open.

If the children have any doubt, they send the question using someone’s phone and he explains it to them the next day.

5 teachers and 2 para teachers are also a part of this world changing school who teach over the mic from the classroom.

His name is Shyam Kishore Singh Gandhi.

You innovate, you win.
